flexfax: squashed lines

Hi 
(I've mailed befire)
3 months of struggling with a remote site (the next hemisphere) and still
cannot solve the problem of ugly squahed lines see enclosed - sorry if I am
breaking the rules with a binary attachemnt but its real small and virus free.

I have also included the log below - this modem worked fine for over a year
even with those horrible error and time out messages which I cannot rectify
cause I do not have the documentation for:
DAVICOM V.34+/FAX/VOICE/SPEAKERPHONE MODEM	 Ver:1.09I

Any suggestions to help me out of this misery?
