Hello, I have installed hylafax-v4.0pl2 to my Machintosh 6100/66 running MkLinux Release 3. I have an external USR Sportster Vi 28.8 modem connected to the computer. The connection is ok, since I can connect to my ISP. However, when I tried to send a fax, the FaxSend program fails to send the fax. The system logs show that the program complains about "being unable to configure modem as fax". Before installing hylafax I tried the instructions in the documents to check whether the modem is ok for fax and it worked there. I checked the mailing archieve and saw that there are lots of complains about USR modems but none of the answers solved my problem. I tried the Class 1 and 2.0 modes as well as 19200 speed instead of 38400 found by faxsetup. I guess the USR modem configuration is not working well (at least the initialization commands). Would some body send me his/hers working configuration for external USR modems. Thanks burchan
