Hey, that would be me! :-)
I think the 6.19 upgrade is a good idea, but it did not fix all of the
retrain problems.  Defaulting to fine-res has virtually eliminated all RTN
errors on my installation.  Still get an occasional "failure to train at
2400bps" or "no response to MPS" error, but most cases this is transient.
I'm at around 3% max failure rate on bad days now, which is a good as I
expect (given the nature of fax machines)...

And don't forget the tagline patch, or you'll never get there.
