flexfax: Problems with 3Com U.S. Robotics modem

Hello,
since several days I am struggeling to configure a "3Com U.S. Robotics 56 K 
Voice Faxmodem" to use it with my Hylafax-Server (Version 4.0p12) on a linux 
box (SuSE 6.0).
I took the standard config file for class 2.0 modems and added the specific 
things from the usr-2.0 file found in the config-directory.
The status I reached is that I am able to send faxes correctly to some 
faxmachines and some faxmachines return an error:
Your facsimile job to 0980740 failed because:
    RSPREC error/got DCN; Giving up after 3 attempts to send same page
but!!! the faxes arrive correctly.
So I think there is only some finetuning neccessary.
