flexfax: can't receive fax

ohere's my problem:

sending fax with hylafax works wonderful!
when tracing there is no more error.

but when i try to send a fax from
a fax-device to my server
(receiving fax) then the ring
is on the line (led on modem is blinking)
but hylafax does not receive it.

there is not one line in the
syslog-file.

i run faxgetty, not faxmodem.

the modem has a rc144dpi chip.

do i have to run faxanswer?
how works it?
