-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- After having worked out the necessary tweaks to get a cheap Performa 33.6 modem to handle data calls, I'd like to embed those tweaks in an appropriate configuration file. Unfortunately, the parsing of the files by faxaddmodem is a bit confusing and obscure to me. Probemodem reports the following. ATI0 RESULT = "OK" RESPONSE = "33600" ATI3 RESULT = "OK" RESPONSE = "V2.061.2-V34_ACF_DS1" What is the correct "CONFIG" or other lines to get a Class 1 modem selected in $SPOOLDIR/config file, rather than the generic class 1 file? Also: the new security patches for faxsetup, recvstats, probemodem, etc. use the "noclobber" shell option. This option is unfortunately a *BASH* option, and is not available under the older SunOS shell. I'm not quite sure what to do about that.... Nico Kadel-Garcia Senior Engineer, CIRL Mass.
