Hi Thomas, Your problem is in the dialrules. Where are you in the world? You probably should be using dialrules.europe. I think you are also getting confused between "no dialtone" and "no carrier". "no dialtone" means that modem picked up the line and couldn't hear anything coming from the exchange - it means the phone line probably isn't plugged in. "no carrier", means that the modem dialled, but didn't get a response (or one that it could understand) from the far end. I have annotated the log below:- > ---------- Weitergeleitete Nachricht ---------- > Subject: facsimile job 2 to 31 failed > Date: Thu, 12 Nov 1998 16:56:05 GMT > From: Facsimile Agent <fax@awd.at> > > Your facsimile job to 31 failed because: > No carrier detected > > ---- Transcript of session follows ---- > > Nov 12 16:54:41.24: [ 1117]: SESSION BEGIN 00000020 43131 > Nov 12 16:54:41.24: [ 1117]: SEND FAX: JOB 2 DEST 31 COMMID 00000020 > Nov 12 16:54:41.24: [ 1117]: MODEM set DTR OFF > Nov 12 16:54:41.24: [ 1117]: DELAY 2600 ms > Nov 12 16:54:43.85: [ 1117]: MODEM set DTR ON > Nov 12 16:54:43.85: [ 1117]: MODEM set baud rate: 9600 baud, input flow XON/XOFF, output flow XON/XOFF > Nov 12 16:54:43.85: [ 1117]: MODEM flush i/o > Nov 12 16:54:43.85: [ 1117]: <-- [17:ATE0V1Q0X4S0=0H0\r] > Nov 12 16:54:44.02: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:44.02: [ 1117]: <-- [32:ATS8=2S7=60&H2&I2&R1S13=1&D2&C1\r] > Nov 12 16:54:44.19: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:44.19: [ 1117]: <-- [14:AT+FCLASS=2.0\r] > Nov 12 16:54:44.35: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:44.35: [ 1117]: <-- [9:AT+FLO=1\r] > Nov 12 16:54:44.50: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:44.50: [ 1117]: <-- [9:AT+FPP=0\r] > Nov 12 16:54:44.65: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:44.65: [ 1117]: <-- [9:AT+FBO=0\r] > Nov 12 16:54:44.80: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:44.80: [ 1117]: <-- [10:AT+FCT=30\r] > Nov 12 16:54:44.95: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:44.95: [ 1117]: <-- [15:AT+FNR=1,1,1,0\r] > Nov 12 16:54:45.11: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:45.11: [ 1117]: <-- [9:AT+FIE=0\r] > Nov 12 16:54:45.26: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:45.26: [ 1117]: <-- [9:AT+FBU=0\r] > Nov 12 16:54:45.41: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:45.41: [ 1117]: <-- [23:AT+FCC=1,5,2,2,0,0,0,0\r] > Nov 12 16:54:45.58: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:45.58: [ 1117]: <-- [5:ATM0\r] > Nov 12 16:54:45.73: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:45.73: [ 1117]: STATE CHANGE: RUNNING -> SENDING > Nov 12 16:54:45.73: [ 1117]: MODEM input buffering enabled > Nov 12 16:54:45.73: [ 1117]: Apply DialString rules to "31" > Nov 12 16:54:45.73: [ 1117]: --> return result "31" > Nov 12 16:54:45.73: [ 1117]: <-- [14:AT+FCLASS=2.0\r] > Nov 12 16:54:45.99: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:45.99: [ 1117]: <-- [9:AT+FLO=1\r] > Nov 12 16:54:46.24: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:46.24: [ 1117]: <-- [9:AT+FPP=0\r] > Nov 12 16:54:46.49: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:46.49: [ 1117]: <-- [9:AT+FBO=0\r] > Nov 12 16:54:46.74: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:46.74: [ 1117]: <-- [10:AT+FCT=30\r] > Nov 12 16:54:46.99: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:46.99: [ 1117]: <-- [15:AT+FNR=1,1,1,0\r] > Nov 12 16:54:47.25: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:47.25: [ 1117]: <-- [9:AT+FIE=0\r] > Nov 12 16:54:47.50: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:47.50: [ 1117]: <-- [9:AT+FBU=0\r] > Nov 12 16:54:47.75: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:47.75: [ 1117]: <-- [23:AT+FCC=1,5,2,2,0,0,0,0\r] > Nov 12 16:54:48.02: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:48.02: [ 1117]: <-- [27:AT+FLI="AWD Zentrale Wien"\r] > Nov 12 16:54:48.29: [ 1117]: --> [2:OK] > Nov 12 16:54:48.30: [ 1117]: DIAL 31 This doesn't seem right.
