flexfax: Fwd: facsimile job 2 to 31 failed

Hi all those fax gurus!
I have a big problem!
When i want to send a fax with sendfax then the error below is produced.
It seems that there is no dialtone.
But when i connect with minicom i have a dialtone and i also can
connect to a fax machine.
Also when i call from a telephone to the modem then the modem is answering
and all is ok.
It seems to me that there is something wrong with one ot the several String
Commands for the modem, but i am not a very sophisticated user in modem issues.
Note : If i connect with minicom and i type ATDT1234 for example i get no 
dialtone. BUT IF I feed this ATX1DT1234 to the modem tha I HAVE A
DIALTONE! and all works.
ANY IDEA about this sophisticated problem would be very nice.
I need this information urgent because i want to show all those M$
People here that Linux with all its features is very nice ( also thanks to SAMBA
SENDMAIL and other good things )

Any idea about a M$Word97,M$Excel to postscript converter for LINUX?
Is there any GUI Interface to Setup Modem and Hylafax issues?
