Caution.  See archives for why this modem is inadvisable, but it actually
fails later in the protocol normally.

This is illegal and might confuse some modems/fax machines.  The legal
character set is [0123456789+] and possibly also space, "*" and "#".

Are you sure that you don't need a PABX access code here?

Do you have a DTMF line?

What does it sound like if you enable the speaker?

You could try removing the @.
