flexfax: Client-Server Communication Problem

Server 1:
RedHat 4.1
Hylafax 4.0pl1

Server 2:
Debian 1.3.1
HylaFax 4.0pl2

Whfc 0.7.0/0.6.0
susefax 0.8

When I try to send a job from a client/frontend-tool it get's queued but
has 0 pages.
What is really annoying is that hylafax tries to send this job (with 0
pages) - dials and drops the line during handshake.
Another strange thing is that the hylafax server doesn't ask for a
password - only username and whoops you're in.
