[hylafax-devel] Re: Hylafax's Goals & Suitable Modems
Hi,
The latest MultiTech ( ZDX 56K ) now uses the Rockwell chipset.
The earlier ones had MultiTech's own chip, which worked fantastic.
I have had 8 of the MultiTech modems in production on our TPC.INT
server for about 6 months now, and they seem to perform fine.
I have no idea if the Rockwell stuff is data, fax, or both, and I am
at home with no manual, so don't know what the following commands
really indicate..
AT+FMFR?
Rockwell
AT+FMDL?
MultiModemZDX
Summar is: MODEM ROCKWELL MultiModemZDX/V2.100-V90_2M_DLS
So, perhaps many modems out there will work easier, as I would think
that Rockwell has permeated the industry with the 56K standard being
implemented.
The config file that I am using is:
config/rockwell-k56.config
( which, by the way, isn't in the latest CVS of HylaFAX ??? )
