It makes debugging compilations tougher: long, long command lines are
painful to deal with.

There are two I'm noticing: it uses "/var/spool/fax/etc/hosts" as a
config file, which should now be "/var/spool/fax/etc/hosts.hfaxd". And ldd
complains about lacking execute permission on the libfax*.so.4.0.1  files,
which is an installation/ldd issue.
