[SunOS 4.1.x] Getty aborts with "Interrupted system call"?

faxd answers the phone, determines it's a data call, and runs getty. Nothing happens for a few seconds, then I get the following message in syslog:

May 22 15:04:58 hbar getty: /dev/ttya: Interrupted system call (Relevant line from config file: GettyArgs: "std.%s %l")

I had this problem too until I changed GettyArgs. Try using "std.%s -" instead of "std.%s %l". This tells getty to use the stdin it was passed instead of opening the device itself.
