Looks like hfaxd(1) isn't running on your machine. You have to make
sure that hfaxd(1) and faxq(1) is running before you get any decent
response with faxstat(1).

Furthermore, with OSF1, you have to hand-create the startup/closedown
files in /sbin/rc[0-3].d to start and close HylaFAX down. Make sure
*NOT* to use killall(8) in the script, 'cos the behaviour is vastly
different to IRIX's version.
