A quick glance at my setup:

I have an OpenSuSE 11.0 installation in which I have VMware Server
2.0.2 running.  In this VMware Server 2.0.2 I have created a VM using
OpenSuSE 11.1 and in there I have installed Hylafax+ 5.4.2 (built
using the sources).  It runs in both send and receive mode without any
issues so far.  The modem (a no-name MODEM V1.009-K56_DLS 56000) is
connected to a serial port on the PC.
