Hi Giuseppe

Thanks for the input and the URL, lots of good information there. 

It would have taken me a long time to think about the fact that the linux authentication itself might work with LDAP. 
This is a great lead.

My problem is that I'm using Elastix as the base operating system which hylafax/avantfax sit on top of. I have to create accounts in Elastix in order to them create them into avantfax. I've been trying to find a good document which clearly shows how I might be able to build a stand alone hylafax/avantfax server and then I believe what you've suggested would work.

It's a great lead, you've given me hope when I was losing it hehe :).
