Hi - I am running HylaFAX 4.4.3 (from the Ubuntu repositories) under Ubuntu 8.04 with an USR 56K USB Modem (5637). With Minicom, I can access the modem on /dev/ttyACM0 just fine. HylaFAX, however, tells me "Waiting for modem to come ready" (faxstat), or that the modem would be wedged (daemon.log): Dec 14 07:39:47 server FaxQueuer[4849]: HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.4.3 Dec 14 07:39:47 server FaxQueuer[4849]: Copyright (c) 1990-1996 Sam Leffler Dec 14 07:39:47 server FaxQueuer[4849]: Copyright (c) 1991-1996 Silicon Graphics, Inc. I don't see any communication to the modem in the log, so don't have a clue what the issue might be. I'd appreciate any hint on what I could try to at least identify a possible source of the issue. Thanks for any hint, Christian ____________________ HylaFAX(tm) Users Mailing List _______________________ To subscribe/unsubscribe, click http://lists.hylafax.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi On UNIX: mail -s unsubscribe hylafax-users-request@xxxxxxxxxxx < /dev/null *To learn about commercial HylaFAX(tm) support, mail sales@xxxxxxxxx*
