Re: [hylafax-users] Hylafax 4.4 and Longshine LCS-8156-S USB modem

Hello:
First thing I'd ask is, does the modem work with another program? Was
the modem correctly identified when you did a faxaddmodem? When you
say the 'modem responds' could you provide some detail..e.g. responds
to what and how? (was faxaddmodem run with no errors?) I'd check the
file that faxaddmodem created and make sure the setup and dialing
strings are correct.
Also, did you verify the chipset of the modem and install the correct driver?

When you say you call your number you get a busy...I assume you are
calling your number when attempting to send a fax? If so, this
implies that the modem has gone 'off hook' and at least attempted to
do something..If so, this suggests an incorrect dial string.
Sorry I have no knowledge or experience with this modem.
