[hylafax-users] how to run faxgetty

Hi:

I have attempted to find answers to the above question but what I've
found does not seem to work/apply..some help would be greatly
appreciated...

Run faxgetty:

I found that I should  do the following:
Edit /etc/inittab to include this:

s0:234:respawn:/usr/sbin/faxgetty ttyS0

(in my case, since I have a USB modem, ttyS0 should be replaced with ttyACM0)

Problem is, inittab does not exist in my system (ubuntu server 8.04).

How can I manually start and stop faxgetty?
How can I configure my system to automatically start faxgetty?
