Re: [hylafax-users] AT commands

Dominique,

When I use minicom I get the following error.

[root@Hermes bin]# minicom

Minicom: WARNNING: configuration file not found, using defaults

Device /dev/modem access failed: No such file or directory.

[root@Hermes bin]#

Now previous to your response I just finished running faxsetup. It was able to find the modem and it communicated with it at best speed of 38800. So the modem is alive.

Do you know how to install the AT command set? I have not found something on Google. Is that a special commad set similar to cu which worked only after installing

Uucp from add/remove programs. I notice that it complained about not finding:

/sbin/mgetty

/sbinvgetty

/bin/egetty

Does not exist or this file is not an executable program. The HylaFAX software optionally uses this program and the fact that it does not exist on the system is not a fatal error. If the program resides in a different location and you do not want to install a symbolic link for the /bin/egetty that points to your program then you must reconfigure and rebuild HylaFAX from source code.

That sounds to complicated. So, how do I do a symbolic link?

Thanks for your response.

Kind Regards,

R@m0ne

Hi Ramon,

You could try using minicom.

Good luck

Greeting to All,

I finally installed my HylaFAX 4.4.4 running on FC9. Everything seems to be ok. I'm trying to test the system but I'm having problems.

When I type:

at+fclass=?       I get command not found.

Cu –l ttyAMC0   I get Line in use.

Is there a How-to on how to get this going/

What program do I have to install in order to do the at commands?

Thanks in Advance,
