No.

TIFF is just a "wrapper" of sorts for the data.  HylaFAX uses the TIFF 
wrapper to store other information that is necessary for the operations.

PDF is also a "wrapper" that could, in theory, hold the same sort of 
data.  However, HylaFAX isn't coded to use PDF in this fashion.

The recvq files must remain TIFF for now.  It would be quite an 
undertaking to convert HylaFAX to be able to use PDF instead.
