Re: [hylafax-users] Kill Time Expired on Sending

I'm already using faxgetty :-(
I can check something to understand when and why this happens?

Investigating on the thing I discovered that sometimes Hylafax remains in status "Waiting for the modem to become ready". During this period all faxes enqueued are not sent and after a while they fails.

Are you running faxgetty?

If I restart Hylafax services all things goes ok, the modem is correctly read and the faxes starts to be sent.
My problem now is to understand why sometimes the connection between Hylafax and the modem breaks and how I can solve it, I can't restart services everytime and in this state the system is not reliable.

There have been some reports that the "faxmodem" approach to making a modem active can make a modem fail after a while. While I have no doubts in the accuracy of the reports I tend to believe that most users should simply be using faxgetty instead of faxmodem.

Thanks,

Lee.
