Re: [hylafax-users] Cannot Send: Giving up after 3 attempts to send same page

Thank for the reply,

Can it be fixed?

I cannot setup to many JobControls to my destination. I think there still have a lot of machine still using the old Fax machine. Can HylaFax still manage adapt such situation? If the times need high baud it will increase, else it will decrease the baud...

Thank you

The log file reveals the receiver as a Panasonic machine wanting high
resolution but only capable of 9600 baud.  It says it receives ECM but
seems to be unable to receive continuations. (?)

I don't know much, but I'd try to send just a plain fax to this
destination (use the -E option on the command line to turn off ECM) and
see if that works.  9600 baud indicates an older machine and it may be
sick.  If it does, you may have to set up JobControls for this destination
so future faxes are sent in a manner that the recipient can receive.  I
am assuming that other machines receive your faxes which is a good clue
that your machine is functioning correctly.  Hylafax converts your pdf to
a fax format so they never receive a pdf from you; they usually use the
fax format directly or convert it to whatever they use.  That means the
pdf format has nothing to do with the problem.
