Re: [hylafax-users] Error during installation Hyalafax 5.2.7

Since there already had the hylaFax5.2.7 deb package that already compiled
Why not use use the deb package?
It is more easy to install with deb package than we do our own compilation. The deb package installer at the same time find all the dependency and install them together.

But I don't why the libldap library is miss out.

Own compilation sometime will cause a lot of messy work. If the library installed a wrong version is will cause everything can't works. Sometime the library version is to old and cannot find anymore in the internet.

Here got the two link that can download the HylaFax 5.2.7 deb package:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=148904
http://osx.freshmeat.net/projects/hylafax/?branch_id=4243&release_id=282735

but the two link installer is not works well.... The Error as I mention

Thank you

who built that package, I'd consider the package broken.  if the build
depends on ldap, it should have it has a depends so there is no
question what it needs.

hylafax isn't that hard to compile, I'd just do that.
