I installed the HylaFAX 5.2.7 Debian package on my Centrino laptop, under Linux Kubuntu 8.04.1 with kernel 2.6.24; gcc 4.2.3 and libtiff4 3.8.2. I use an internal alsa softmodem (Intel ICH Modem) with the snd_intel8x0m low level driver and the SmartLink Soft Modem driver: slmodemd, version 2.9.9. Each time I try to send a (multi-page) fax, I get the error mentioned in the subject (see attached log) and the trasmission fails. Parhaps I misconfigured the modem in file /etc/hylafax/config.ttySL0, how can I verify it? # # Generic Class 1 modem configuration. # # EDIT THIS CONFIGURATION TO REFLECT YOUR SETUP # CountryCode: 39 AreaCode: 02 FAXNumber: +xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx LongDistancePrefix: 02 InternationalPrefix: 0039 DialStringRules: etc/dialrules ServerTracing: 1 SessionTracing: 11 RecvFileMode: 0644 LogFileMode: 0644 DeviceMode: 0664 RingsBeforeAnswer: 0 SpeakerVolume: low GettyArgs: "-h %l dx_%s" LocalIdentifier: "F.
