Hello Andreas,

I think you need FaxNotify only if you want to add the document as an
attachment or change something like language or e-mail address from the
default.

Did you tell HylaFAX to send a notification on success?
see sedfax options -D and -R
In case you do not use the sendfax command, which client do you use?
