[hylafax-users] IAXmodem continually spawning processes

I just installed IAXmodem/HylaFAX on a new machine, running CentOS 5.1  
(which I'm not very familiar with, being a Debian guy).  I've got the  
following in inittab:

# Run IAXmodem
IAX:2345:respawn:/usr/sbin/iaxmodem


I get dozens of copies of iaxmodem running after a while.  It spawns  
another copy regularly, until I reboot the server.  I only have two  
ttyIAX files in /etc/iaxmodem (ttyIAX0 and ttyIAX1).
