I believe that there is an ISDN channel driver for Asterisk.  I've never 
done this before, personally, but I know of many people that use 
Asterisk + ISDN + IAXmodem + HylaFAX just fine.

So rather than using CAPI4HylaFAX just use the Asterisk ISDN approach.
