No not really. To me it's a matter of ease (and logic). They want to
send a fax so the domain looks like 123456@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, we have
them put the subdomain 'fax' that will route the emails to hylafax..
if the fax subdomain is missing the mail just gets returned as
undeliverable mail.

User's can put those email addresses in their addressbooks and
associate contacts.. so I didn't see the need for user@faxnumber
format.
