Pls kindly advise which linux you are using. I could compiled and load the driver for fedora but the D-channel is never up! 

Below is our config:
ati0: Digi RAS modem 56000
ati1: 255
ati3: V20030401-K56_DS
ati2: 000
ati4: DIGI56K_RAS
ati5: 022
ati6: 3.29K1/5.71D
ati7: 000
ati8: error
ati9: (1.00DBI0053\00000000\MODEM\\DataFire RAS 48 PT2__)
I bought it recently. Could it be too new to be recognised by Digi driver? 

I have approached Patton for a newer firmware as suggested by Howard Lee but they recommend me to install the latest beta driver (for kernel 2.6). I do not want to use beta in a production environment and I could not compiled it successfully.

I use Digi's drivers. They still maintain their Acceleport RAS line
and support the 2977 with that driver. All the latest Linux
kernels/distributions are supported.

I set them up as class 2.0 and send and receive several hundred faxes a day.
