Well, in future you may care about things like onchip JBIG, colour, 
ultrahigh resolution, encryption, and the ability to reset ports.  Or, 
you may care about fax machine compatibility and system reliability. 
Or, you may simply want to buy from a vendor who actively supports HylaFAX.

In the fax hardware business you get what you pay for.
