HylaFAX The world's most advanced open source fax server |
Hi Dennis, Any analog fax device (including HylaFAX) would eventually see this 'interruption' as a failure. If the interruption was short then HylaFAX might recover and successfully send the fax if the recipient supports ECM. Theoretically it would be possible to detect the remote interruption and play a message. However, I don't think that any hardware or software has fully implemented such a feature. Hello all, I am a hylafax newbie and trying to setup the server on the Fedora Core distribution, anyway, not successful yet. I am just curious to ask what will happen when the receiver manually pick up the phone in the process of initiating a sending operation? Can hylafax notify the receiver with a message like "I am sending a fax, drop me a fax signal"? Or just hylafax thinks the other end not a fax machine and withdraw with a failure? thx! dennis ___________________________________________________________ 雅虎邮箱传递新年祝福,个性贺卡送亲朋! http://cn.mail.yahoo.com/gc/index.php?entry=5&souce=mail_mailletter_tagline ____________________ HylaFAX(tm) Users Mailing List _______________________ To subscribe/unsubscribe, click http://lists.hylafax.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi On UNIX: mail -s unsubscribe hylafax-users-request@xxxxxxxxxxx < /dev/null *To learn about commercial HylaFAX(tm) support, mail sales@xxxxxxxxx*
