That seems odd. How many faxgettys are you running? How many are running this particular modem at the same time?

Nov 27 18:50:32 servercvs FaxGetty[12533]: /dev/ttyiaxmodem_1: Can not
initialize modem.

where can be the problem?

i've already created

root@servercvs:/dev/ttyiaxmodem# ls -la
total 44
drwxr-xr-x  2 root root  4096 2007-10-02 13:39 ./
drwxr-xr-x 18 root root 40960 2007-11-27 18:41 ../
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root    18 2007-10-02 13:39 1 -> /dev/ttyiaxmodem_1
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root    18 2007-10-02 13:39 2 -> /dev/ttyiaxmodem_2

One must be careful of using subdirectories or underscore characters in the device name. It seems that you're aware of this and that you've taken steps to deal with it, however, I would suggest simply sidestepping the issue altogether, if possible by not using either underscores or subdirectories.

Lee.
