No. My problem is that the manual doesn't say what the first hyphen after the "F" means, whether multiple F...,F...,F... are supported for the DistinctiveRings: setting, or whether only the first/last are effective andthe rest ignored, or what difference it makes to leave out the last 2 numbers of the cadence specification. I've tried all of DistinctiveRings: F4-13-4-0-0,F3-14-4-0-0,F3-14-3-0-0,F4-14-3-0-0 DistinctiveRings: F-4-13-4-0-0,F-3-14-4-0-0,F-3-14-3-0-0,F-4-14-3-0-0 DistinctiveRings: F-4-13-4,F-3-14-4,F-3-14-3,F-4-14-3 with a RingsBeforeAnswer: of 0 and/or 1, but hylafax never sets the modem to answer. In comparison, using "RING" as ifentifying string for incoming calls causes hylafax to answer both voice and fax calls (as the modem reports "RING" after the DRON=/DROF= values for both/all types of call). > >Problem 4: The first ring generated by the phone company for a fax call is > >different from all the subsequent ones. The first cadence logged by hylafax is 4-0-0-0-0 for both voice and fax calls. Is this preventing hylafax from ever answering a fax call? The modem module (NetComm IG1000) identifies itself with MODEM ROCKWELL RC288DPi/ACF3_V1.919-V90_P21_FSH_LL_RD but it's a Conexant chip CX06827, though I don't think the modem is the problem here.
