HylaFAX The world's most advanced open source fax server |
Hi All, My hylafax installation has been working pretty well, although lately there have been a few cases of a fax not being received. Below is a typical error log: Nov 11 04:23:33.78: [ 5991]: SESSION BEGIN 000000307 6170733987000 Nov 11 04:23:33.78: [ 5991]: HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.3.1 Nov 11 04:23:33.78: [ 5991]: <-- [4:ATA\r] Nov 11 04:23:36.60: [ 5991]: --> [7:CONNECT] Nov 11 04:23:36.60: [ 5991]: ANSWER: FAX CONNECTION DEVICE '/dev/ttyS0' Nov 11 04:23:36.60: [ 5991]: RECV FAX: begin Nov 11 04:23:36.60: [ 5991]: <-- data [32] Nov 11 04:23:36.60: [ 5991]: <-- data [2] Nov 11 04:23:37.56: [ 5991]: --> [7:CONNECT] Nov 11 04:23:37.56: [ 5991]: <-- data [23] Nov 11 04:23:37.56: [ 5991]: <-- data [2] Nov 11 04:23:37.96: [ 5991]: --> [7:CONNECT] Nov 11 04:23:37.96: [ 5991]: <-- data [13] Nov 11 04:23:37.96: [ 5991]: <-- data [2] Nov 11 04:23:38.27: [ 5991]: --> [2:OK] Nov 11 04:23:38.27: [ 5991]: <-- [9:AT+FRH=3\r] Nov 11 04:23:45.27: [ 5991]: --> [0:] Nov 11 04:23:45.27: [ 5991]: MODEM <Empty line> Nov 11 04:23:45.27: [ 5991]: <-- data [1] Nov 11 04:23:45.30: [ 5991]: --> [2:OK] Nov 11 04:23:45.30: [ 5991]: DELAY 1500 ms Nov 11 04:23:46.01: [ 5991]: <-- [9:AT+FTH=3\r] Nov 11 04:23:46.04: [ 5991]: --> [7:CONNECT] Nov 11 04:23:46.04: [ 5991]: <-- data [32] Nov 11 04:23:46.04: [ 5991]: <-- data [2] Nov 11 04:23:47.00: [ 5991]: --> [7:CONNECT] Nov 11 04:23:47.00: [ 5991]: <-- data [23] Nov 11 04:23:47.00: [ 5991]: <-- data [2] Nov 11 04:23:47.40: [ 5991]: --> [7:CONNECT] Nov 11 04:23:47.40: [ 5991]: <-- data [13] Nov 11 04:23:47.40: [ 5991]: <-- data [2] Nov 11 04:23:47.71: [ 5991]: --> [2:OK] Nov 11 04:23:47.71: [ 5991]: <-- [9:AT+FRH=3\r] Nov 11 04:23:54.71: [ 5991]: --> [0:] Nov 11 04:23:54.71: [ 5991]: MODEM <Empty line> Nov 11 04:23:54.71: [ 5991]: <-- data [1] Nov 11 04:23:54.74: [ 5991]: --> [2:OK] Nov 11 04:23:54.74: [ 5991]: DELAY 1500 ms Nov 11 04:23:55.46: [ 5991]: <-- [9:AT+FTH=3\r] Nov 11 04:23:55.48: [ 5991]: --> [7:CONNECT] Nov 11 04:23:55.48: [ 5991]: <-- data [32] Nov 11 04:23:55.48: [ 5991]: <-- data [2] Nov 11 04:23:56.45: [ 5991]: --> [7:CONNECT] Nov 11 04:23:56.45: [ 5991]: <-- data [23] Nov 11 04:23:56.45: [ 5991]: <-- data [2] Nov 11 04:23:56.84: [ 5991]: --> [7:CONNECT] Nov 11 04:23:56.84: [ 5991]: <-- data [13] Nov 11 04:23:56.84: [ 5991]: <-- data [2] Nov 11 04:23:57.15: [ 5991]: --> [2:OK] Nov 11 04:23:57.15: [ 5991]: <-- [9:AT+FRH=3\r] Nov 11 04:24:04.16: [ 5991]: --> [0:] Nov 11 04:24:04.16: [ 5991]: MODEM <Empty line> Nov 11 04:24:04.16: [ 5991]: <-- data [1] Nov 11 04:24:04.18: [ 5991]: --> [2:OK] Nov 11 04:24:04.18: [ 5991]: DELAY 1500 ms Nov 11 04:24:04.90: [ 5991]: <-- [9:AT+FTH=3\r] Nov 11 04:24:04.92: [ 5991]: --> [7:CONNECT] Nov 11 04:24:04.92: [ 5991]: <-- data [32] Nov 11 04:24:04.92: [ 5991]: <-- data [2] Nov 11 04:24:05.89: [ 5991]: --> [7:CONNECT] Nov 11 04:24:05.89: [ 5991]: <-- data [23] Nov 11 04:24:05.89: [ 5991]: <-- data [2] Nov 11 04:24:06.28: [ 5991]: --> [7:CONNECT] Nov 11 04:24:06.28: [ 5991]: <-- data [13] Nov 11 04:24:06.28: [ 5991]: <-- data [2] Nov 11 04:24:06.59: [ 5991]: --> [2:OK] Nov 11 04:24:06.59: [ 5991]: <-- [9:AT+FRH=3\r] Nov 11 04:24:13.60: [ 5991]: --> [0:] Nov 11 04:24:13.60: [ 5991]: MODEM <Empty line> Nov 11 04:24:13.60: [ 5991]: <-- data [1] Nov 11 04:24:13.62: [ 5991]: --> [2:OK] Nov 11 04:24:13.62: [ 5991]: DELAY 1500 ms Nov 11 04:24:14.34: [ 5991]: <-- [9:AT+FTH=3\r] Nov 11 04:24:14.36: [ 5991]: --> [7:CONNECT] Nov 11 04:24:14.36: [ 5991]: <-- data [32] Nov 11 04:24:14.36: [ 5991]: <-- data [2] Nov 11 04:24:15.33: [ 5991]: --> [7:CONNECT] Nov 11 04:24:15.33: [ 5991]: <-- data [23] Nov 11 04:24:15.33: [ 5991]: <-- data [2] Nov 11 04:24:15.72: [ 5991]: --> [7:CONNECT] Nov 11 04:24:15.72: [ 5991]: <-- data [13] Nov 11 04:24:15.72: [ 5991]: <-- data [2] Nov 11 04:24:16.03: [ 5991]: --> [2:OK] Nov 11 04:24:16.03: [ 5991]: <-- [9:AT+FRH=3\r] Nov 11 04:24:23.04: [ 5991]: --> [0:] Nov 11 04:24:23.04: [ 5991]: MODEM <Empty line> Nov 11 04:24:23.04: [ 5991]: <-- data [1] Nov 11 04:24:23.07: [ 5991]: --> [2:OK] Nov 11 04:24:23.07: [ 5991]: RECV FAX: No answer (T.30 T1 timeout) Nov 11 04:24:23.07: [ 5991]: RECV FAX: end Nov 11 04:24:23.07: [ 5991]: SESSION END I've googled this and everything, and it seems like a common problem, but nobody seems to have found an answer. Just wondering if somebody has found the answer yet or can point me in the right direction. I am running hylafax on Ubuntu 7.04 With a Flex 56K V.90 external modem, with the fax phone line on the same line as our ADSL connection through a DSL phone line splitter / filter thingy. Also, i'm in Australia if that makes any difference.
