Hello all,

 

I hope this mailing list is alive and well, cause I sure could use some help! :)

 

I have 2 MultTech MT5600ZDXV serial modems.

 

I am trying to capture 4 DTMF tones given by our PBX and route the faxes via email/pdf based on the extension dialed.

 

I pull up minicom, connect to the modem, and can enter the following commands:

 

AT#CLS=8 (switch to voice)

OK

hr.

AT#VLS=4

OK

(dial the number)

RING

 

ATA

OK

.1.2.3.4 <---DTMF works!!

 

AT+FCLASS=1.0

OK

ATA

(Fax Handshake Begins)

 

ATH0 (hangup)

OK

ATZ (reset)

OK

 

However---with the following in the config.ttyS* files:

 

ServerTracing:          0xFFF
SessionTracing:         0xFFF
RecvFileMode:           0600
LogFileMode:            0600
DeviceMode:             0666
RingsBeforeAnswer:      0
SpeakerVolume:          off

ModemType:                Class1

ModemRingsBeforeResponse:       4
ModemRingResponse:              AT#CLS=8;AT#VLS=4;H1
ModemAnswerCmd:                 AT+FCLASS=1.0;ATA

 

The /var/log/messages output is as such:

No DTMF Capture like in Minicom, modem times out, and hangs up.

 

What am I missing here?
