I have no idea about your "CS5500", but if you want faxgetty to
automatically answer any calls, RingsBeforeAnswer: 0 is *not* what you
want:

	RingsBeforeAnswer
	  The number of rings to wait before answering the phone.  If
	  this value is set to 0, then the phone will only be
	  answered in response to an explicit answer command; see
	  faxanswer(8)
