Two weeks ago I posted here that a server was having problems negotiating with remote fax machines. Customers were getting several copies of the same fax because after a few pages the handshake would fail and retransmission took place until ultimately timing out after X number of retries. I had upgraded to HylaFAX 4.x and someone suggested I go to 5.1.8. I did that this weekend and am still experiencing failures that look the same. See log of one such failure below:
