First of all, take a look to the howto page:

Then if you have exim on your system, follow exactly this steps, as I
did (I'm still working with this issue):
http://www.hylafax.org/archive/2007-01/msg00077.php

The way it works, it about the faxmail client from Hylafax. You can
see this one in the man pages:
http://www.hylafax.org/content/Man_Pages_4.3.4

Maybe someone in this list could give to you a detailed information.
