Thanks for the heads up. I have one modem already working for my main fax number this one is just going to be a "backup" for another number I have that's not heavily used. I guess I'll wait for linuxant a few more days.

Hi Jason,

You need to pursue this with Linuxant... you could try asking on linmodems.org but they will tell you to talk to Linuxant.  Please understand that until you can get this working 100% with Minicom you will have no luck with HylaFAX.

That said, if the reliability of fax is important to you then give up now... you are going to waste a lot of time trying to get your win/lin modem working with fax.  Buy a decent hardware modem based on the Agere Venus or CFAX chipsets and save yourself a lot of grief.

	I just installed a new linmodem and it does seem to be picking up the "ring". I got the latest driver and the key for the full version from linuxant.com. I've checked with minicom and don't see the ring. I've looked everywhere online and sent an email to support but haven't heard anything yet. I'm running FC5 and hylafax-4.3.3.
