It's probably more of a collateral damage issue for not using ECM. It could be line problems. It could be a Class 2 modem firmware bug. It's really difficult to say with the lack of protocol detail that we get from Class 2. Switch to Class 1 - you get ECM immediately, and that goes a long way in making things better all around. PLUS, it helps us understand what kinds of Phase C problems you may have.
