Minor correction:
"as a serial port locks the whole pci bus to transmit 8 bits": should
be 14-16 bytes at a time which is not as bad. Still the interrupt
handler is going to be hammered.

I haven't lab-tested this everything running simultaneously due to
lack of resources. So to prove your claim to other people on the list
that you can run 128 simultaneously just clarify the exact model of
the UART used for each modem port.
