These kinds of things going on in the Zetafax log make it clear that 
there is some kind of severe V.21 interference or incompatibility 
between your modem and theirs. Either the hardware is at fault or the 
connectivity (the phone lines) between them is at fault.

What kind of modem is /dev/ttyPS0, anyway?
