Re: [hylafax-users] No font metric information found for

Hi,

I have reinstalled again the ghostscript 8.54 on SPARC Solaris 10.
I already have Hylafax 4.3.1 installed on SPARC Solaris 10.

I have re run the command faxsetup.

I have the contents for file hyla.conf in /usr/local/lib/fax,
FontMap: /usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/Type1:/usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/Type1:/us
r/local/share/ghostscript/8.54/lib:/usr/local/share/ghostscript/8.54/lib:/usr/lo
cal/share/ghostscript/8.54/Resource:/usr/local/share/ghostscript/fonts
FontPath: /usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/Type1:/usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/Type1:/us
r/local/share/ghostscript/8.54/lib:/usr/local/share/ghostscript/8.54/lib:/usr/lo
cal/share/ghostscript/8.54/Resource:/usr/local/share/ghostscript/fonts

I have the Fontpath in setup.cache file in folder /var/spool/hylafax/etc,
FONTPATH='/usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/Type1:/usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/Type1:
/usr/local/share/ghostscript/8.54/lib:/usr/local/share/ghostscript/8.54/lib:
/usr/local/share/ghostscript/8.54/Resource:/usr/local/share/ghostscript/fonts'

But still I get the following error,
/usr/local/sbin/textfmt: No font metric information found for "Courier-Bold".
Usage: /usr/local/sbin/textfmt [-1] [-2] [-B] [-c] [-D] [-f fontname] [-F fontdir(s)] [-m N] [-o #] [-p #] [-r] [-U] [-Ml=#,r=#,t=#,b=#] [-V #] files... >out.ps
Default options: -f Courier -1 -p 11bp -o 0
Error converting data; command was "/usr/local/sbin/textfmt -B -f Courier-Bold -Ml=0.4in -p 11 -s default >/tmp//sndfaxaya4Mk </var/spool/hylafax/config/topic"

Please advise. What else I need to install? Why I always get error - No font metric information found for "Courier-Bold". Is there any folder I can verify the font files with name Courier-Bold on unix machine.

Please adivse.
Thanks and Regards

HylaFAX does not utilize any "hylafax.conf" file. Please just run faxsetup and remove any FontPath entries that you have manually made anywhere. Make sure that in /var/spool/hylafax/etc/setup.cache that the FONTPATH points to the right place. Make sure that place has a Fontmap file in there (and probably also Fontmap.GS).
