At the moment I am using Imagemagick to convert the incoming tif to
bmp ( the windows compiled version of tesseract seems to want bmp
instead of tif ), before ocring it and then storing it in the
database, but I do see a transcoding option on incoming faxes which I
will try when I set up my stand alone server vs the vmware image I am
using.
