Not sure what you mean.

The docs for faxing are being generated on the windows side ...
they're all postscript documents.

The idea is to parse out the fax number from the file names, and then
somehow submit them to the Hylafax server using a script.

Presumably you can use the command line on your Ubuntu instance, if you
need a command line.  Or you can go the cygwin route.  But it *is* unusual
to revert to the command line on Windows, rather than using, say, a
printer driver.
