[hylafax-users] mis-interpreted senderID?
Hello,
I am seeing a strange case of "mis-interpretation" of the REMOTE TSI during an
inbound job when my MultiTech MT5634-ZBA modem is configured with class 1. So
far I have only seen this when faxing from an "Intertex IX36 Extended DL+" modem
into the Multitech, but I am araid that if it happens here it might happen with
other fax machines in the real world as well.
The SID of the sending modem is set to +4618343428. When in class2 mode the
receiving MT modem sees this in the log:
SESSION BEGIN 000000628 4618341083
Dec 07 13:13:47.49: [ 8675]: HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.3.0.11
Dec 07 13:13:47.49: [ 8675]: <-- [4:ATA\r]
Dec 07 13:13:56.58: [ 8675]: --> [5:+FCON]
Dec 07 13:13:56.58: [ 8675]: ANSWER: FAX CONNECTION DEVICE '/dev/ttyS4'
Dec 07 13:13:56.58: [ 8675]: RECV FAX: begin
Dec 07 13:13:56.60: [ 8675]: --> [28:+FTSI:" +4618343428"]
Dec 07 13:13:56.60: [ 8675]: REMOTE TSI "+4618343428"
-----------------------------^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
... but in class 1 mode the log shows this:
Dec 07 13:17:00.68: [ 8675]: SESSION BEGIN 000000629 4618341083
Dec 07 13:17:00.68: [ 8675]: HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.3.0.11
Dec 07 13:17:00.68: [ 8675]: <-- [4:ATA\r]
Dec 07 13:17:06.76: [ 8675]: --> [7:CONNECT]
Dec 07 13:17:06.76: [ 8675]: ANSWER: FAX CONNECTION DEVICE '/dev/ttyS4'
Dec 07 13:17:06.76: [ 8675]: RECV FAX: begin
<snipped out a little>
Dec 07 13:17:09.10: [ 8675]: <-- [9:AT+FRH=3\r]
Dec 07 13:17:09.37: [ 8675]: --> [7:CONNECT]
Dec 07 13:17:11.08: [ 8675]: --> [2:OK]
Dec 07 13:17:11.08: [ 8675]: REMOTE TSI "0q +4618343428"
-----------------------------^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Where could that "0q " be coming from? Again, this only happens when the MT
modem is in class 1. Any advise would be helpful!
Mark
