[hylafax-users] hylafax dosen't answer debian+eicon+HF4.2.1.

Dear all,
I've been using successfully hylaFAX for many years.
Now, I've decided to upgrade.
I'm using a Eicon Diva Server 4 BRI.

My old config:
RH 7.3
Hylafax 4.1.5

Now I'm trying to use:
Debian stable
Hylafax 4.2.1.

The two configs are exactly the same but the new system dosen't answer.

I tryed to check modem problems with minicom; the result is the minicom correctly initialize the fax board, the board correctly sees the RING from tel.co. and correctly receives the CID/DID and it hangs up as per the AT commands.

I used:
ATX3#CID=7
ATS0=1

I configured the /var/spool/hylafax/etc/config.ttds0x in order to answer after 1 RING -
RingsBeforeAnswer: 1
(in my country it is enough to get the CID/DID) and to reset the modem with the AT command written above.

ModemResetCmds: "ATX3#CID=7"

The board is configured as CLASS 2
I try using both CLASS 2 and 2.0 and also CLASS 1.
I used the adviced commands as reported in the incompatibilities for the HF 4.2.0.
Nothing changed.

I also tryed to delete the CID command or to change it into 14 or 15, I used the command in order to let hylafax recognize the RING.

RingExtended: "RING;"

Having a look to the log files it seems HylaFAX doesen't understand the line is ringing.

The faxgettys are correctly inserted into /etc/inittab and the processes are alive.

From HF 4.1.5 to 4.2.1 many things changed. I suppose something I don't know has been changed. I had a look to the documentation and to this mailing list before post my question, obvously every thing I did has been unsuccesfull.

Could someone of you help me?

Thanks in advance for any answer.

Regards

Mr. Focaccia
