Ugh. Replacing the port used by the modem was not that big deal, the problem 
persists.

I'll sure try an upgrade.. problem is, being on debian stable the last 
stable version of hylafax-server available in the repository is 4.2.1. I'll 
try to upgrade to the unstable branch, where I see there's 4.3.0 available..
