HylaFAX 4.2.5, sending. The problem is the one when a receiver answers the call like it was a voice call and then when it hears the fax tones generated by the HylaFAX driven faxmodem switches its phone to fax mode for receiving. In my case the faxmodem (conexant based class1) fails to estabilish a connection with a BUSY message. Note that the sender doesn't have to do anything to switch to fax mode, just wait for the receiver to switch to fax mode by itself. I remember reading something about this issue on the list, but unfortunately the terms I use to search for it (voice, person, anser) are way too common to find the relevant messages in the archives. So, is there someone who managed to solve this issue? I think I'd need to issue some special commands to initialize the modem? If I send the fax using a real fax machine the fax goes through.
